Annual Choir School Camp
Established in 1980 and now in its 30th year, St. John’s holds its own Annual Choir School Camp for one week during the summer, usually in August.
The Choir School Camp uses the training scheme of the Royal School of Church Music, and consists of daily sessions for children and teens from grades two through college. It is open to those of all denominations, and offers an intensive week of learning and performing sacred choral music in the context of traditional Anglican liturgy. The school also provides games, arts and crafts, and other recreational activities. The week concludes with a Festal Evensong sung on the Friday evening
of close.
The 2010 Annual Choir School Camp will be held from August 9 - 13, with the concluding Festal Evensong on Friday, August 13 at 5:15 pm.
