Annual Choir School
Established in 1980 and now in its 27th year, St. John’s holds its own Annual Choir School for one week during the summer, usually in August.
The Choir School uses the training scheme of the Royal School of Church Music, and consists of daily sessions for children and teens from grades two and up. It is open to those of all denominations, and offers an intensive week of learning and performing sacred choral music in the context of traditional Anglican liturgy. The school also provides games, arts and crafts, and other recreational activities. The week concludes with a Festal Evensong sung on the Friday evening of close.
This year’s Annual Choir School will be held from August 13 to 17, 2007.
